Simply photos of matchday and stadium visits, mainly in Belgium and the Netherlands, occasionally in Britain or farther afield. Others call it 'groundhopping', whereas I prefer using 'football tourism'... but things have run slightly out of control: therefore, this is Extreme Football Tourism.
Komstraat, Lommel Kolonie (VK Kolonie & FC Kolonie) Belgium, province: Limburg 24 VI 2017 / FC Kolonie - FC Germeer 2-4 / Arbeidersvoetbal Kempen, Summer League Div. 1
Note: Arbeidersvoetbal Kempen is a league of Flemish amateur teams in Belgian Limburg and Eastern Antwerp not affiliated to the Royal Belgian Football Association. Under the auspices of Arbeidersvoetbal Kempen, several divisions of Saturday championships, one Sunday championship, and several divisions of Saturday summer championships are disputed.
Moerkensheide, De Pinte (JV De Pinte) Belgium, province: East Flanders 22 VI 2017 / JV De Pinte - AA Gent 0-2 / Pre-season friendly Note: until 2014, JV De Pinte's first team played its home games at the Sportwegel ground in the centre of De Pinte, which has meanwhile been destructed. Since 1988, training sessions and lower team football took place at Moerkensheide. In March 2014, I took some photos of the old Moerkensheide canteen just before it was knocked down (photos 1-5); as can be seen in the first two photos, the new stand and canteen were virtually ready by then.
Jaminet, Obercorn (FC Luna Obercorn) Luxembourg, canton: Esch-sur-Alzette 21 VI 2017 / FC Progrès Niedercorn - CS Fola Esch 1-5 / Pre-season friendly (neutral venue) Note: the first three photos were taken during a non-matchday visit in April 2011; in between the two visits, obviously, a complete renovation of the ground took place.
