NETHERLANDS: vv Ste.Do.Co (B) (1968-2015) / vv Ste.Do.Co (2015-)

Groeneweg III, Hoornaar (vv Ste.Do.Co)

Netherlands, province: South Holland

18 XI 2017 / Ste.Do.Co - CVV De Jodan Boys 1-3 / Zaterdag Hoofdklasse A (= NL level 5)

Note 1: Ste.Do.Co have moved their first team football to this newly constructed pitch in the summer of 2015 from Groeneweg II, their main pitch from 1968 to 2015, which is immediately to the back of the main stand of Groeneweg III. After the installation of a 3G, a new grandstand was built along the pitch in the summer of 2016. In all, this is the third main pitch at Groeneweg since the club were founded in 1946.

Note 2: One of the goals in the Ste.Do.Co - Jodan Boys match made some headlines, more specifically the opening goal which was scored by the home team - I would qualify it as one of the worst examples of the 'Dutch disease' in football which involves playing the ball from one defender to the other, a style of play in which a long ball to the centre-forward has been made a criminal offence. Having said that, it was the keeper's only mistake of the game and his team Jodan Boys walked away as the deserved winners of the afternoon.
